    Hello everyone!

    My name is Anne, I'm 29 and I am trying atkins for the first time. I am a firm believer in moderation, but a comment a few weeks ago from my boyfriend about how I was a carb junkie really got me thinking. I have no self control when I have a little taste of carbs, I eat until I am full. I very rarely eat until I am stuffed unless it's deserts. My job as a surgery resident encourages a binging lifestyle and I'm usually eating whatever I can get my hands on.

    I like the sound of Atkins because I can eat until I am full, I eliminate my temptations, and bring in a whole new group of foods I usually have access to, but normally wouldn't eat.

    I am interested in an tricks or words of advice for those who have completed the atkins weight loss or who are almost there.




    This is my first time on atkins.

    I have tried most every diet, including the run my butt off diet (finished my first marathon June 1 2008 in San Diego). My boyfriend noted a few weeks ago how I was addicted to carbs, I had an epiphany, and here I am.

    8/18/08-199 I think. I was scared that I might see a 2 as the first number, so I didn't weigh myself.

    The first two weeks can be difficult for some ... but stick with it ... it gets much easier after the second week ...

    Also the more you use this board the more you will loose ... no joke. It is kind of like what weight watchers does with the meetings ... it really helps to be part of this community.

      290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!
