    Hello everyone!

    My name is Janie and I live in Sutton, Surrey in the UK. I have spent most of my bank holiday weekend reading all the info, tips and fantastic stories on this website. So glad I stumbled upon it - this place really is amazing. You guys are just inspiration - I have never felt so excited or had a "you know what I am sooooooo going to do this and do it well" feeling about a diet EVER!

    I am still doing all my reading of the book, making my shopping list and getting myself organised for the 1st Induction Day - I read on here that a Thursday is a good day to start so thats what I intend to do - is it weird I cannot wait for Thursday?!!!

    I am currently around 18.5 stone (about 262) but will weigh in on my newly brought Wii Fit and then fill my signature in.

    Just want to say, this site is amazing - its my rehab!

      Thanks! I have read all the posts and I can see its not a magical cure and the two weeks are going to be hard but I am SO determined...

        It's not that hard really, you've just got to try and remove yourself from temptation.

          I feel supported already. I think this site is such a great thing, that I can come on here and people understand. Have been nagged at to lose weight but also "oh Atkins is sooo unhealthy" but as someone has posted on here - er hello! Surely all the extra weight I have is deadly.

          But, to be honest, have made my mind up this is the way for me so going to do it. Am a bit concerned about the drinkies - I usually have at least a glass of wine a night but again, I am prepared for that too.

          Its all about me!

            I'm more or less a heart attack waiting to happen, i can hardly believe that i am now almost twice as heavy as i should be.
            10lb(1lb lighter than yesterday) lighter now than what i was when i started and i've got a long way to go. But it's coming off so i'm happy.
            There are so many thing's i would like to do, but i really need to be a lot healthier before i do.
            I'm afraid the wine will probaly have to go.
            As for myself, i think i'll wait until i can't lose anymore. That's my real target. And then, i'll celebrate.
            Have faith and stick in, you'll be glad you did.

              Hey Swordfish you can do it! If I can, anyone can!

              3 days in, headache easing a bit, just have a horrible taste in my mouth - feel elated about that though!

              Did weigh myself and am delighted but going to up date my ticker weekly because thats how I prefer to look at it - then maybe monthly! The overall loss!

                Good to here it's started happening.
                The headache's shouldn't really last much longer. As for the bad taste in your mouth, mine seem's to be bad most of the time but i don't really think about it anymore. But at the same time, it mean's there's still something going on, so it can't be a bad thing.
                I think i'll start weighing myself weekly, my scales seem to be a bit erratic and frustration is a big word at the moment.
                Still, i'm still in ketosis and i've been behaving myself so i must be heading in the right direction.
