  • Starting Induction September 1st!

    Hi Everyone,

Britt here... I'm a self employed, happily married, mom of two boys. I was born in the UK but now live in the beautiful State of New Hampshire, USA.

Monday September 1st I'll be starting induction. I used to be able to control my weight with exercise and calorie counting but as I get older it's getting more and more difficult! I did Atkins with much success a few years ago and now realise that this is the only way for me.

I'm sick of the binging/starving routine. This is a whole new beginning and I'm so excited!! I look forward to chatting with you all. Let's do this together

      Brightstar,

That's great. Have you done Atkins before? What are you planning on having for breakfast? I'm going with scrambled eggs - they always keep me full for a long time!

For breakfast tomorrow I'm thinking of having an omelet with a tablespoon of cheese, some mushrooms, and 3 pieces of nitrate free bacon. I will also use a tablespoon of avocado oil to make the omelet. I have not done Atkins before. I've read about it, but this is my first time trying Atkins. But I am not new to low carb though.

This is my 2nd time around. My last time I made the mistake of treating Atkins as a diet - now I know that (for me anyway) it must be a way of life! Good luck Brightstar and keep in touch. It'll be good to compare notes and get some inspiration along the way.

I will. Have you made it over to STAC or 14 day induction board yet. I'm reading through those right now.

                  Hey Razzle & Linda,

Thanks for the welcome! Linda I'm glad to hear you're sticking with it - I've been known to cheat myself but I'm determined this time to do it by the book.

Razzle... maybe the fall won't be quite as beautiful but I'd take
North Carolina winters over the New Hampshire one's any day LOL

                              Hello Britt

Like yourself I have also been on induction before, many years ago. I did only the induction phase lost 10lbs in 2 weeks, didn't continue but didn't regain the weight either. I am now restarting Induction, although this time it is more of a challenge as I am vegetarian and hadn't eaten eggs for years and don't like cheese that much (90% vegan) but have been eating cheese in little cubes and force feeding myself a one-egg omlette every other day (and holding my nose) and I have not felt like dipping into the biscuit tin at work (I would eat 10 biscuits in one sitting easily and want more....) I hope you reach your goals. Best of luck! x
