I just thought I would introduce myself, I have been on Atkins before in the past, and it always gives me tummy trouble, but I thought I would try it again this time, adding more fiber, I have been on it this go round for 12 days and I have lost 8 lbs already, and I am not having the problems i have had in the past. I have been trying to loose weight for some time now-mainly I have been maintaining not gaining or loosing, I am the owner of a wonderful group on Cafemom called weight loss buddies, I started there just a member and they really motivated me to get going-now I own the group and I do all the motivating with no one to motivate me...! So I decided to come here, plus my group is not singled on one diet but a variety, so there are about 300 women doing something different. I originally started at 183, my weight after I had my son, from 3 yrs ago-I have lost a total of 18 lbs, and i hope to keep loosing. I 'm not sure how to do Atkins long term, but I would like to get down to 155 by my 30th B-day which is Oct 15, and then I would like to continue going down to about 120-130, I have never been thin-so I don't know what that is like-the smallest I have been was 155 and that was only for a few years -and I already forgot what that feels like! I look forward to getting to know this group-and hopefully if this is going to be longterm, I will be on here frequently!

Do you have the book? It has the full plan including how to do maintainance, although you will find lots of info on the various forums here
