  • Hello Everyone

I'm new here. My name is Andrea, I am 27 and I started the diet last week at 170 lbs. Today, 1 week later I have lost 4.5 lbs. Boy, I have to say, I have felt awful the last couple of days, but I am finally starting to feel better. I had one wendy's goof-up on saturday and then I went to the website and looked at the nutrition facts in that stuff and it sent me into a shame spiral =). So, I am starting induction OVER this week, this should be fun.

Anyway, I am glad to meet everyone and it's great to find a place with so much inspiration. Great to meet you all!

    Re: Hello Everyone

    Greetings, Andrea!

    Welcome to ADBB!

Sounds like you've had some great success, so far! (even with the goof-up )

Visiting the websites for the foods we are missing is a great idea! Shows us that there's a good reason for putting those foods behind us.

Andrea, I like to make sure that newbies read the sticky I've placed at the top of this forum. Here is the link: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...-new-read.html

I look forward to hearing more from you. Take your time, and explore the board. Jump in and get involved. It really helps! Good luck!

Thanks for the kind words, Andrea! I am POSITIVE that you can do this. And I'm especially happy to learn that your hubby has had success with Atkins! That's great, as it is so much easier to stick to this WOE (way of eating) with the support of your spouse. Woo hoo!

Wishing you both great success with sticking to Atkins for Life!

thanks so much. Yeah, I think seeing his results is what kicked me into high gear. He looks fan-tas-tic. It has been a lot easier as far as adjusting to the Way of Life since neither of us really are eating sugar or processed food right now, Makes shopping easy =)

            Re: Hello Everyone

Oh I am so happy for you scarlet I wish my husband would do the same. We did so well a year ago together, but this time it is not the same. He keeps trying to kill my will power. He will bring home DQ, Taco's - just junk. He knows I am weak, but just the same he still does it.

Maybe a part of it is because he KNOWS he should be doing this with me. I think he is going through some other emotional junk right now though and it just is not his time. I hope that is the case because he is getting so big & I worry about his health.

I am glad that things are going so well for you and your DH I hope it continues. A 5lb. loss...Way to go! Keep up the good work and give your honey a squeeze for all the support.
