Hi friends:
This is hard to do, but here I am. I've always been chunky with the exception of having gone on Atkins once before and took off 35 pounds. I kept it off for about two years until two children said hello to the world for the first time. Then I was a stay at home mom for 12 years before going back into the working world.
I had successfully lost 35 pounds on WWatchers, but as soon as I took it off it all came back on. And I mean right back!
Now I'm 60 years old, the years are passing and I am just plain disgusted with myself for weighing 206 about a week and a half ago. I'm 5' 4" and my dream goal would be 140. But, I would be happy with 155.
That 60 year mark was a little hard on me - never before have I started to wonder "how much time do I have left?" There are things I want to do, but I want to feel good and look good doing them.
What caused me to start on this adventure once again was seeing two people I know who were grossly overweight at one time, and now are svelt!!! These two had been heavy "forever," and they had lost weight on a high protein program.
So, it's time for me to start....I hope I can do this through the holidays, etc.....
I know the sun is behind the clouds now, but as I start fitting into my skinny clothes, I know my motivation will constantly be recharged!!
Here's to sunshine on cloudy days!
I will post a before picture of me and when I read how to do that.
Wish me luck!
PS I just found out the bacon I've been eating has sugar in it, I hope that won't throw my induction off....PSS after throwing out my Atkins book (after giving up) I ordered a used one........
