New on forum

[Emmastaff]

Hello all. I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. I have been browsing the forum and really have been motivated by all of the success stories on here. I am glad to have found a place where I can chat with other Atkins-people. I have done Atkins before, but it was about five years ago. I had lost about 30lbs. However, as I am sure you've heard before, I fell back into my old way of eating. Carbs have always been a struggle for me since childhood. I have also struggled with cravings. I am on day 5 of induction and am happy to report that all of my sugar cravings are gone. It was a rough few days with headaches and feeling pretty lousy. However, I survived this far. I have put on a good amount of weight with my pregnancy two years ago. I just never could get it all off. I am determined now to see it through so that when/if I get pregnant again I start at a healthy weight. I was overweight prior to getting pregnant two years ago, and then gained a lot in addition to that. Needless to say, I had blood pressure problems that I am sure were attributed in part to my weight. I want to be healthy at last!

Wow! Day 5 already? Well done!! The first week is the hardest, and you're just about through it. Nice!

Have you checked out the "sticky" for newbies to the board, at the top of this forum? I included some links to some popular places on the board, one of them being the STAC forum (Second Time Around Club). Lots of great folks there, who are walking in your shoes. Awesome support!
