Hey everyone, I actually found this forum by chance and decided to sign up and restart the low carb diet after gaining 8 pounds over the last month(while on the zone)! I have reached the conclusion that my body does not handle carbohydrates well at all, and the best thing for me would be to essentially eliminate them and slowly reintroduce them to my diet.
So frustrations aside, I am a 29 year old
registered nurse (cardiac care) where I spend a great deal of my time telling patients that they would benefit from some increased activity and weight loss. The looks I get don't surprise me though I am a fairly active person (I want to lose 20 pounds at least) I'm half
and half
As far as hobbies go, I travel
every chance I get, I play clarinet
in a community concert band, I like to go dancing
(esp hip hop or latin) and I like bike riding
, volleyball, flag football...that sort of thing. I used to box but stopped because I didn't want to tak
e a punch in the face (can you blame me!?)
Wish me luck I am on day 3 of induction and no troubles yet...but there are a lot of temptations at work that I will need to establish a "zero tolerance" policy for in order to be successful.
