  • I need Help!!

    Hello everyone,

    I am only eating 2 or 3 times a day, In the morning I cant eat (only because im not use to it) the only thing I have is my expresso w/ splenda, then I have lunch and at about 8 or 9 pm I have dinner is that ok!! please let me know. I take my multivitamin in he morning, I drink alot of water and I started walking 30min. a day. Also is Kraft real mayonaise ok ????? Im confused Please help!!!!!

    Atkins tells us in our book that we should eat at least every six waking hour. Breakfast is an important meal to eat.
    The reason it is important to eat often is that this keeps our metabolism higher. And that is something you want on any diet.
    Secondly you want your bloodsugar level and low - it is how and why Atkins work but by skipping meals you force your bloodsugar up.
    Drinking expresso is not helping you at all. Caffeine can bring up bloodsugar just by itself.
    So start eating something - if you cannot eat try driking something.

    Serves 1
    6 total carbs for entire recipe

    3-oz. cube cream cheese

    1 T DaVinci's or Atkins syrup - any flavor!
    4 ice cubes
    About Kraft mayo - I don't know. You have to read the ingredients. Does it have sugar or Corn Syrup in it? How many carbs per serving?

    It is difficult to find completely sugarfee mayo. There is a brand called Duke that is sugar free. I cannot get Duke here in Canada. I use Hellman's full fat one - it does have a tad of sugar in it though.

      Hi Gigi!
      I am not a morning eater either. But I found a trick. I had a chocolate Adkins drink for breakfast to wean myself off of my previous breakfast (a Dr Pepper) and once I was ok without the caffeine, I switched to eggs.

      I know that you are supposed to avoid the drinks in induction, but it helped me to get off of the soda and now I have a healthy breakfast. So sometimes you have to tweak things a little I think.
