Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself to the ADBB community. I'm 27, and I have had issues with my weight for almost my entire life. In fact, I have allowed it to prevent me from living up to my full potential. The few times that I have lost weight, I felt great. Not having clothes was never an excuse. Recently, I've opted out of certain things simply because I didn't have anything to wear. I know I'm doing myself a terrible disservice but I simply refuse to buy clothing for my body as it is. So I've decided to do something about it. I started Atkins Sept 12, 2008. It has been a little rough. I've had early morning nausea and diarrhea for two days straight. But I know it is worth it.
In that regard, this board has been worth its weight in gold. Knowing that I'm not the only one suffering from induction flu helps me to stay on track. But most importantly, the advice and success stories inspire me to keep going. This is such a wonderful site. So thank you to each contributor. I am utterly determined to keep going. Not only is my self-esteem at stake, but my life. I'm not getting any younger, and I know ten years from now I'll be glad I took this first step.
I'll see you around the board,
