Hi! I am new here! I quit smoking a year ago and have gained a lot of weight! All my fault I gave myself permission to eat whatever I wanted while I tackled my addiction to cigarettes! A year later...now I am ready to start to lose it! I have always been over weight anyway...so it's not all due to quitting smoking! I have been on diets my whole life. Thus, I have been a size 0 and the biggest I have ever have been is right now- a size 28/ 30! I have a lot to lose but I am a patient person. If it takes me a year or more...so be it! I haven't been on a scale for over a year so I don't know what I weigh. I do not like to weigh myself often because I suffer from eating disorders. And the # on the scale freaks me out. Thanks for having me. I have to get the book and read it...then I will start. I have always loved meat and veggies versus sugar and carbs..with the exception of after I quit smoking. I am over the constant want for sugar now. This appears to be the lifestyle for me. Thanks!

Hey, you quit smoking ... that's not easy; good for you! Well, you've come to the right place. Check in often. Read other posts. Ask questions. Join in the challenges, if you can ... it really helps you stay on track!
Quitting smoking was very hard yes! This will be a different type of thing since I can't give up eating entirely!
