Hi all. I've been lurking here for a while now. I decided to join the board in order to post questions every now and again when other search methods don't pay off.
I don't like to give out personal information on name/location, but can give some info.
Call me Shine.
Female, 45, 5'4", married
Start weight: 185
Current weight: 173
Goal weight: 140-145
Started 8/15/08
Currently at 3rd rung of OWL and doing fine.
I really don't know my goal weight because it's been so long that I haven't been at a goal weight (haha). As a young adult, I was smokin' hot yet weighed about 15-20 lbs. more than any of my friends. I carry my weight well and no one could ever guess my true weight. As a kid I was into gymnastics and had large leg muscles and rock hard abs, so weighing more made sense. 140 on a 5'4" woman may sound like a lot, but less than that and I might look sick. 120 was my lowest post-puberty weight and I was 36-24-36 (those smokin' hot days). I was 16-20 years old then. Not the same as being a woman. I really think 120 would make me look sick. But I won't say never if I find that 140 isn't good enough.
I'm not big on exercise, but like to do activities. Not a gym person, but give me a bike or ask me to take a walk and I'm there. I'm just as happy to sit and read a book or go online. And I'm more of a partner than a loner.
That's me. If I left something out, I hope there's an edit button here
(yes, the board does and I'm utilizing it now)
I should add that this is my second time on Atkins. The first time I didn't follow it correctly or it was done differently than it is now. I'm pretending that I've never done this before and forgetting anything I used to know. Blank pages in my head. I lost some weight that last time, but never got all the way to the end and want to go all the way this time. I'll check out the forum for repeaters.
I will be leaving for the weekend and doing my best to keep on track while on the road and all that stuff. I'll check in Sunday or Monday when I return.
Happy to be here,

... sounds positive and strong! Great thing about this board, if you have questions or comments, it's here for you 24/7 ... it is a huge help in staying on track. So is joining in the challenges, which makes it more fun, anyway. Knowing you have to log in your progress (i.e. drinking so many ounces of water a day) gives you a lot of incentive not to slack off, which is what I would be doing if I didn't put it in writing
! Welcome back to Atkins!
