  • Hola fellow-Atkineers!

I'm just stopping in to introduce myself to all of you in this fan-tabulous community. Still Smiling pretty much sums me up, in a nutshell. I like me - light or heavy, but recognize the health benifits I feel when I'm smaller. Not to mention the fact that I strained my back the other day - getting out of a chair (seriously). Shortly afterward, I ended up having the long-feared conversation with my doctor regarding "the weight". Ugh. Anyhoo, this is my 10th day on Induction and my millionth kick at the cat for long-term, sustainable success. In past attempts, I've made it to the third rung, and then petered out - generally becuase I think I know better than the Good Dr. Atkins, how to make this WOE work for ME. Now I'm thinking, not so much.

Anyhow, I weigh in once per week, and am looking to my Keto-sticks and daily posts here for inspiration and go power when I need it. I have approximately 40 lbs. to lose, and possibly MORE, if I'm feeling great when I get there. Exercise continues to be my downfall, especailly as I nurse a back injury, but I recognize no success will meet that whole "sustainable" criteria I just highlighted unless I get moving. I'll be looking at the challenges forum as soon as I am able to stand up straight without agony.

Okey-dokey, then... I guess that about says it. Thanks in advance for your well wishes, and I look forward to seeing you all around the forums. I'm off to get a ticker, and pretty-up my siggy. Big Love (ha ha ha - I'm so funny...) S.

Amen to inspiration from ketostix. Who knew peeing could ever be so fun?!

    Welcome aboard.
