    Hello there I'm new. I've done Atkins before, but never made it past the 14 day induction. I'm on day two of the induction so far, I hope last a lot longer than I have managed before!

    Anyway, I found a questionnaire on 'why should I lose weight' a while ago on the internet and I've finally filled it in. I've printed my answered list out and have hidden it underneath my mattress (I live with others you see) so that whenever I have a craving or urge to 'give up' I'll read what I have written and will not give in. That's the theory anyway. I've also taken photographs of myself in an outfit I'd like to wear (that is so tight it won't butten up and STILL it hurts to put on), but lets not go there first.

    I'm 5ft1 and 176lbs now and I'd like to be in the region of 110-115 by October or November 2009.

    QUESTIONNAIRE
    001. What is my goal?
    I want to lose 61 lbs in one year to thirteen months.

    002. Why do I want to achieve this goal?
    01. I am unhappy.
    02. I want to be more confident.
    03. I want to fee comfortable in my own skin.
    04. I want to be able to dress my age.
    05. I want to be able to sustain a relationship.
    06. I want to feel less pathetic.
    07. I want to fight my past.
    08. I want to change.
    09. I want to be able to wear skinny jeans.
    10. I want to be taken seriously.
    11. I want to enjoy shopping.
    12. I want to wear fashionable clothing.
    13. I want to be desired.
    14. I want to be admired.

    34. I want to wear a stunning gown to the uni ball.
    35. I want to wear heels with less pain.
    36. I want to be able to wear short skirts.
    37. I want people to not recognise me.
    38. I want to grow.
    39. I want to be able to dress more individually.
    40. I want to look ‘cool’ to know or talk to.
    41. I want to be remembered.
    42. I want to be able to shop without any embarrassment.
    43. I want to be able to buy nice things in the sales.
    44. I want to look my age.
    45. I want to go dancing and not look stupid.
    46. I want to not be so scared of having my picture taken.
    47. I want to have fun on a night out.
    48. I want to surprise people.
    49. I want the confidence to be independent.
    50. I want to live rather than hide.

    003. If I do not achieve it, what pains will I have?
    01. I will be stuck.
    02. I will be miserable.
    03. I will never change.
    04. I will work crap jobs.
    05. I will forever be dependent.
    06. I will never have confidence.
    07. I will never dress well.
    08. I will never achieve anything.
    09. I will be judged.

    005. What will happen to me if I continue my previous situation for the next 10 years?

    04. I will have no confidence.
    05. I will probably have even less confidence.
    06. I will have wasted my life.
    07. I will get fatter.
    08. I will end up looking terrible.

    11. I won’t be healthy.
    12. I wont have lived.
    13. I’ll be past being able to wear fun things.
    14. My health and appearance will worsen.
    15. I will not have fulfilled my potential.

    006. Then when do I want to take action?
    NOW.




    SW = 178 lbs
    CW = 162 lbs
    GW = 115 lbs

    16 lbs lost and 47 lbs to go!

    Wow, that is quite the questionairre you found! But I would have to say that it is really accurate for most, amazing how we forget to take care of ourselves and it is so hard to remember how to do that once we HAVE to. Youll do it this time because you can...best wishes to you on induction, I feel like I am permanantly there too but you know what, I am getting results and that makes me feel great so its okay! Cheers.

      I applaud you for being here and trying atkins again...It really does work. I did it in 2007 after I had my 4th child. I did NOT do any exercise at all, just changd the way I ate and lost 57lbs. Let me tell you...what a diference.. good luck, and I hope you stick with it this time.
