Hi, my name is Kim and I am a 20 y/o female from Southern California. I started Atkins yesterday and I am hoping to lose around 80 lbs. I am 5'9" and 233 lbs. I have been heavy throughout my entire life thus far, so the thought of being thin overwhelms me; which is why I think so many diets have failed in the past. Myself nor anyone else has ever seen me thin. I am SO OVER being in this body. I am a slave to carbohydrates, which is why I chose the Atkins diet.
So far, only two days on this diet, I have already experienced withdrawl symptoms. This morning I woke up shaky, weak and dizzy. Figured it was my blood sugar taking a dive, so I drank a diet coke and immediately felt better. But no moer for the week!
I am going to weigh in once a week. Usually I jump on the scale every day but not this time. Wish me luck...
PS: I have been reading the success stories and looking at before/after pictures like crazy! You guys are all so much of an inspiration to me!
