Mine is probably not the typical weight problem/gain/loss story, but here goes.
I'm 44 now, and until 4 years ago, I spent my whole adult life as a small-boned, 5'4", 118 lb. size 2. I was one of those people who could eat practically anything and not gain weight, and I was always able to rein myself in when I found myself overindulging. Once or twice I gained 10 or 12 lbs., but was able to lose it pretty easily.
Four years ago, a week after my 40th birthday, I gave birth to a daughter, and fit into size 4 jeans a week later. But let me tell you, that didn't last long. I was now over 40, I just had a baby, I quit my job.....and I became positively obsessive about food. You know - all food, all the time. Not only had my body changed, my whole though process had changed. I absolutely could not control my eating. Between Feb. & Sept. alone, I gained 20+ lbs.
On Sept. 2, when I started Atkins, I weighed 157. Six weeks later, I now weigh 141. I feel great, and most importantly, I've gotten my eating under control.
I LOVE THIS DIET.
