  • Not New To The Board But First Time Poster

    Hello,

I have been looking on the board for a couple of months with my husband we began the Atkins in July 2008 we have fell off on went back on. When I started I weighed 263 pounds and my husband weighed 298 pounds. I am now down to 238 pounds the last time weighed in and he is now at 270 pounds. This board has been my motivation for getting back on every time I fall off the wagon. We are now on the 6th day of the induction phase and today we began training to run a 5K. I want to thank everyone for sharing their stories and showing before and after pictures it really helps when people want to just give up. I am a first time poster but defintely not a last time poster.

How great that you decided to post. It is nice to hear about people doing it and working it.
Training to run 5K - that is GREAT. Are you guys doing the C25K programme? You may already know but there is a C25K thread in the exercise forum for people who were working their way up to 5K.
I did it in the spring - was able to run 5 K in June and has not stopped since.
