I decided to register here hoping someone would be able to give me some insight. Everytime I have done atkins in the past I have seen great results. But this time has been much different. I have been on the diet for a month now, and lost 5 pounds the first week and I have seen nothing since. In fact I gained 2 pounds this week. I havent done anything differently than I have in the past. Has anyone heard of this before? Is it possible my body has reached its limit of success on atkins?

Re: Looking for Help
Trisha's got a fantastic point. I have noticed it's harder to lose the more times you restart since your body refuses to accept you've committed to it. Also, if you haven't already, go back and read the book and make sure you're doing it strictly by plan. Sometimes when we go through it repeatedly, we think that we know what we're doing and actually end up doing things that are completely off plan since we feel like we know what we're doing and don't need to look it up.27/f/5'10"

Re: Looking for Help
The less you have to lose, the slower it comes off! But that's not really a bad thing because it gives you time to learn the right way to eat and that's essential in keeping off what you've lost. Patience is your best friend right now.
Also, exercising and drinking your 64 ozs. of water are critcal. Keep the faith and post often because we are here to cheer you on when things are slow. You can do it!!!
