  • Here to win!

    Hi Everyone,

I keep trying Atkins but I never make it to the two weeks. Well, at this point I don’t’ have a choice. Many of the things I want in my life for fun and a career need me to be fit. And I want to be fit and be more active. I also don’t want to have to worry about getting all those illnesses from being obese.

Also my snoring has gotten worse. Years ago I was told be a sleep doctor that my snoring is caused only by weight. Over the years as I lost weight my snoring would decrease before I gained my weight back. I really don’t need to lose that much to stop snoring, but I need to lose a lot to be healthy. I refuse to be one of those people to accept my body the way it is. I am not neurotic about ‘looking good’ but I am neurotic about not wanting to die or get sick from being fat.

I started induction again today. I am keeping track of my carbs. I tried carb/protein/fat ratios, fitday and all that stuff and it just made the diet more confusing. Ratios/fitday, etc is not in the book for induction so I am going to go strictly by the book. No cheats, no modifications.

I will be back on here November 10 with a good report on my first two weeks!

Welcome and good luck, you have come to a wonderful place for help, support and friendship.

    What I know:
    1-Atkins WOE/WOL plan works
2-I need to always work on the behaviors and triggers that make me over eat.
3-Atkins WOL is part of the puzzle, but is not the entire thing.
4-Self-deprecation only feeds our inner ego and not in a good way.
