Nice to meet you all!
My name is Michelle, I will be 19 next Tuesday. (elections!)
I'm 5'4 and have struggled with my weight for a good part of my life.
Finally am getting things under control.
A freshman at Boston University, and can be difficult on a low-carb diet in a college environment. I'm managing extremely well.
I began losing weight after I saw a picture of myself at 5'4" and 204 lbs.
Low carb has always worked for me, but I never seemed to stick with it.
I got down to roughly 170 lbs by the end of 2006, and maintained that weight for a good year. But in the beginning of the summer I realized I wanted to lose weight going into college. I needed more confidence in my life. So I started back up with the only thing that has worked for me; low carb and exercise. It got me down to my current weight of 150 lbs. I still have a ways to go but I'm feeling wonderful so far!
We have a wonderful gym facility at college, I go 6 days a week. When I'm home visiting my parents, I go for a run around our block (3.4 miles) or a 10 mile bike ride. Sometimes both. I love being active.
Being a shorty, my goal weight is in the 120ish range. I'm also quite muscular so I'm looking forward to seeing more of the tone in my body.
Here's a few pictures to see my progress so far!

I must admit, I love seeing my collar bones!
I'm involved in one other low-carb forum, lowcarbsite.com and I just love the encouragement and kind words. I thought I would check this one out as well and expand my horizons!
I'm looking forward to low-carbing with you all!
