Hi,
My name is Steve. I'm a 36 year old guy from San Antonio Texas.
In my "day job", I'm a military aviator. My "night job" is slightly more exotic.
I'm a professional musician. My band is called The Black Doves.
I'm the lead singer and rhythm guitarist.
I graduated from high school in 1990 and I weighed about 147. I'm 5'9" tall.
I went to college for two years at The University of Wyoming, then I enlisted in the army. I spent a little over 4 years in the army in EXCELLENT shape due to the strict PT regimen of the 82nd Airborne Division. I was a solid 163 lbs throughout my time there.
Then I got out at the age of 25. I started lifting weights heavily and put on some big size and spent my time back at college from 1997-2000 at about 187 lbs.
I finished school at The University of North Texas and got my commission in the Air Force. While at flight school I balooned up to 205 due to laziness and the sheer size of the workload.
Then I got married. That weight pretty much never came off. I've done atkins a couple of times, but never got below 198 while I was deployed.
I started induction again about 2.5 weeks ago. When I started I was about 212 lbs. That was the last straw for me.
I can't look professional in a flight suit, and look like a "rockstar" when I weigh 212 lbs on a 5'9" frame...right?
I'm down around 203 lbs since starting and I intend to remain on the diet indefinitely. I love movies...movies have always meant Milk Duds & a Large diet coke. That's tough.
As you can imagine, it's also difficult to abstain from alcohol when you're playing in bars so often. I've been pounding a lot of water and doing my best to keep it at a very minimum.
I'm always open to suggestion and constructive criticism.
Thanks!
Steve
