Good morning,
This is my first time to commit to Atkins. I have known for quite sometime now that I am sensitive to Carbs. At 48 my health is quickly going south. I have controlled high blood pressure, I cannot make it through the day w/o wanting needing a nap. Life is very rapidly passing me by. My feet and legs hurt because they are carrying a heavy load. I have a hard time working all day. I did my research and decided on Atkins. I know for sure that my pancreas is wearing out with the ups and downs of insulin. I also know that It is time to do something for myself. I have to say that I have been hypnotised, nurtisystemized, weightwatcherized, phenphenerized, and many more.
After turning 48 Oct 11,
I knew that if I did not take measured and determined steps that I would be a very sick older person. I want to spend the rest of my life having fun and enjoying life.
I grew up a skinny kid, in fact I was made fun of so much that I spent most of my teen years wishing I had a butt and legs. They called me stick legs and no butt. Well watch what you wish for because I have a butt, stomach, and legs now. After I have my first daughter I quickly got down to my prepregnancy weight of 125. Then after my second baby I did not lose the weight. In fact I slowly gained and gained. I remember the shame of the weight gain weighed me down more than any real fat. The irony is that I weighed 148 after I gave birth. Now I would love to weigh 188.
I am currently at 192.6 after 2 days on Atkins. I have noticed that I do have more energy, and that instead of taking a nap yesterday I loaded my bike and dogs, went to our farm and rode my beloved bike with my precious dogs. Now thats living
I will get a ticker tape and keep track.
I love this site and without it I would have never even considered Atkins.
Thankyou
SusieC
