  • Hello from Bonnie Scotland!

    Hello everyone!

Just a wee note to say hi and introduce myself. It's my first time trying Atkins (my boyfriend did it a few years back and lost 3.5 stones. Ummm....49lbs?! I know it works, so here goes!)

The usual story for me - tried many diets over the last 5 years. I've fluctuated between 189 - 252lbs (eek!). I'm currently 243 and determined to do this, once and for all!

I'm 28 (29 next month) - I would love to be at a healthy, happy weight by my 30th. 13 months - watcha think?!

I started on Tuesday. No big problems - a couple of headaches (caffeine related, I'm sure!), a few cravings (particularly in starbucks today when I ordered a decaff americano instead of my usual latte with syrup!) so, I'm raring to go!

Anyway, hello everyone and thanks for all the support you've already given me, just by reading your posts.

    Much love,

    MacDieter xx

Again, thanks so much for the replies.

And, Sallyseachange - that's very interesting about the Atkins Flu. It's my 4th day and I feel great, in general. However, my legs are really achy - almost like growing pains! I wonder if that could be symptoms of the "flu" ?!

Well, I have my salmon baking and my broccoli steaming, so off I go!

              Happy weekend-ing, everybody!

Ooohh - also, if anyone reads this (and can face replying!) how do I make my tracker show up in every post?

I'm sure it's really obvious and I'm just missing it!

                    Re: Hello from Bonnie Scotland!

The way I got my ticker to work was after I pasted the code for it into the edit box for my signature, I clicked on it and a new window opened with the code in it, and I clicked on it again and that made it appear in the signature. I hope it works that way for you too. And welcome to the board!

Arrrggghhh!! Thanks Blueberrylady, I tried it and it still won't work It works when I cut and paste - no problem - but how do you all get it to be there automatically whenever you post? I'm pretty sure I've missed something obvious!

Sorry! Just here and questions, questions, questions!

Under UserCP (That you find in the blue strip on the top of the forum) there is a box (to the left) called Edit Signature. This is where you place your Ticker.
