  • Returning to Atkins...

    Hi all,

I am returning to the Atkins approach, I have been away for a number of years…

I, thankfully, had help from my wife previously, but now must rely on my own to stay on track…
She ensured that I consumed the correct ratio and most importantly the vegetables. And now that it has been a number of years, it seems both her and I no longer remember correctly or have forgotten a good deal about Atkins Induction. To compound the issue this time, I spend a majority of time away from home, so it is left up to me to figure out how best to handle my meals.
I have been reading the posts for the last week, so I decided to register and join the group. From reading the posts, everyone seems great and the support between members is unbelievable. I am going to be posting several questions, so I appreciate all the help…

I would like to drop my weight to below 212, so that would be 36 pounds, but the actual goal is to find my flat stomach again. I am pretty sure I lost it somewhere around 190…

The great thing is that it seemed that Atkins Induction was created specifically for me, so I hope it goes as smoothly again.

Welcome Boydness! Good to have you join us.

Post all the questions you like... you'll find there's always someone around to give you an answer or some tips.
Did you read the book the first time around? It might be a good idea to give it a re-read. The version you want is the 2002 edition of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution. That's the edition this board goes by as it was the last one written entirely by Dr A himself, before he died.

Check out the induction forum stickies and the FAQs for info in the meantime.

    Happy losing!

      Hi Steven,

Welcome back to the Atkins approach! If neither you or your Mrs. remember the rules clearly, then you MUST get a copy of 2002 DANDR. In the mean time, check out all the stickies at the tops of the various forums to get you through. Hey - you can be HER support this time around!

I had to laugh when you desribed where you last thought you'd seen your flat belly -

I know you'll see it again!

Hopefully this site will help you on the journey. Good luck to you!
