Hello all I am so excited to be here. I like many of you have tried every diet out there and have lost here and there I lost 80lbs 6 years ago and kept it off but did it in an unhealthy way by takin metabolife! I am so excited about embarking on this new WOL and WOE! I started my 14 day induction yesterday I have also been exercising at the gym weight training and cardio. I can only do 5 minutes at a time on the eliptical machine but hey I'll get better I get off go do some weight training then jump back on for 5 more minutes! I am a junk food junkie and just cannnot live like this anymore one bite of candy or icecream sends me into a complete binge. I am a mother of 3 and will soon be marrying the love of my life in Feb on the 21st! I am excited to be here and very happy I found this site I have read the book the only thing I just can't give up right now although I am cutting back is caffine I have to have my coffee in the morning! so if I feel like it is stalling me I will try to cut back! Love to all glad to be here!

Re: Newbie
Hi Mary!
Welcome to the site. Good for you for getting all that exercise in right from the beginning. That is still such a struggle for me. You have three babies and still manage to get the gym? I am ashamed of myself (what's my excuse?)!
I hope Induction is going well for you - I know the first few days can be AWFUL, but it truly does get better after that.
And don't fret the caffeine too much just yet - get the carbs under control first & once you are over that hurdle you can tackle the caffeine if you think you need to. Now, the book says you should give it up, and he knows what he's talking about! You may lose a little slower than if you gave it all up at once, but it may mean that you are able to stick to it better if you take it in steps. You are the best judge!5'4" Female, 39 Years
