The perpetual question of my life. This is going to be very hard for me but I will be starting induction tomorrow. My name is Dee and I have a husband and a 7 month old and I am fat. I am the biggest I have ever been in my life and I hope that Atkins can help me out. I am Italian and I eat pasta probably twice a week and that is why I really need all the support I can get. ha and I don't know the answer to your question, but if you think what pasta tastes like with out the sauce, etc, youll see its not very taste, its the sauce. So my theory is replace it with something elso. Some folks use calamari as their pasta, it really has no flavor either, or eggplant or spagetti squash.

I'm half Polish, but I had to give up my latkes and peirogis! And I ate out or relied on take out five nights a week, but we eat home more and I've learned to make a pizza that satisfies me. It's all about changing long time habits and replacing them with new behaviors.
I've searched out recipes and make favorite dishes without the pasta or rice and I'm satisfied because it worked for me. And it will work for you.

before starting atkins i ate pizza at least 3-4 times a week and something like spegetti the other nights, i never ate meat only carbs and lots of them.
it takes a bit of work and determination b ut it can be done- im proof i never thought that i could do this - but i am doing and you can too.
this board is full of encouragment and support set mini goals and celebrate(not with food) when you reach them..
