  • Yet another newbie

Hi there, yet another newbie here, from the UK.

I was doing Atkins a few months ago (only for about 2 months) and was doing quite well until I ended up in hospital and the first thing they gave me to eat after about 26 hours, was a "sandwich" so I am afraid that it has taken me another couple of months to get back into the mental swing of things.

I have so much weight to lose and am a diabetic on a hefty dose of injected insulin which doesn't help my weight loss but I am back on track now. I am coming to the end of my induction fortnight but struggling a bit with all of the dry components of the diet.

9 lbs down, sooo many more to go.

    Hi Mistyweather!

As another newbie (and a UK one, at that!), I'd thought I'd say hello and welcome.

I know how daunting it feels, but keep coming here and reading about the people who are succeeding - it will really spur you on. I really believe (in a way I haven't for a long time) that I can get there. You can too.

I'm on Day 9, 8lbs down and hoping there are many more where those came from!

    All the best, xx

Misty, what do you mean by "dry" components of the diet? Curious.

        And welcome, btw!
