  • Hi there

    Hi everyone-

I just joined the boards. I am not new to Atkins, but it's been awhile and it's nice to have people who know it well and can provide assistance when needed. I only need to lose about 10-15 lbs, but I really enjoy Atkins. I have a host of medical issues that complicate things...and caused the weight gain, but I am getting a better handle on those. I had to go off plan for awhile to try different diets for medical reasons, but I am back to Atkins. I enjoy eating this way and don't feel deprived. I had success with it earlier this year and was able to lose all the weight I wanted, though it was slow. I am not an on-plan, off-plan kind of person so I just do best sticking with it. I really feel it is a way of life and not a diet. I am not eating like this to lose a few lbs and then go back to a certain diet. Actually I eat very well even when not on Atkins, it's just that Atkins works better with my body.

Anyway, what else can I tell you. I am 31, female, 10-15 to lose, hoping to lose most of it within 2 months. That's all I can think of. Nice to meet you all.

Welcome, I know what you mean when you say you don't feel deprived on this diet! Low-fat, low-calorie, even Jenny Craig... I felt so hungry and deprived all the time. Not anymore! Good luck

        EmeraldGaze - New to Atkins

        Hi,
I am new to Atkins looking to drop 40lbs. I started 3 weeks ago and the scale has not budged one bit. Although I have to admit I don't feel crazy hungary and that low-sugar I am gonna pass out feeling anymore.

        What am I doing wrong?

I am healthy, workout just about everyday and yet I can't seem to lose any weight.

female, 5' 4", 165lbs, no medical ailments, am not on any medication, (am on the the IUD).

        HELPPPPPPPPP
        Thanks in advance!

          Hi Everyone

I'm new to atkins and have just started today. i have 42lbs to lose in total. hoping to lose the first 14lbs by christmas.

I think the thing I'll struggle with most is breakfast. I normally eat it on the go, so will have to try and find a suitable, cold, eat on the run breakfast!

Look forward to getting to know you all,
          Rose
