  • Day One Complete

Hi Everyone, my name is Christina. I am 26 and my goal is to lose 40 pounds. I had tried Atkins a long time ago half-heartedly before with a friend, and I vaguely remember having a great result from even just one week. But I do remember the difficulty I faced when my body and mind screamed for sugar and carbs and that one week was the end of it. I believe this time will be different, because I am serious about losing the weight, and also, I have found this fantastic site that has inspired me, and allowed me to mentally prepare for this change. I have a positive feeling about my ability to stick with it. I have reached the point where I do not want to turf my weight loss off until TOMORROW which never seems to come. But today was the day. And so far, so good. I will keep you posted. Thanks for checking me out! Christina

        Re: Day One Complete

I have been! I am anxious to get into ketosis. Almost like a kid waiting for Christmas. How long does it usually take? I remember the book saying 2-3 days...I misplaced my copy, I think it is back in Delaware at my parents house--I will retrieve it over the holidays.

It took me about 4 days. I say 3-5 is about normal. Are you using the keto stix?
