    Kia ora!

My name is Mel, I am a Kiwi travelling around the world

This is my second chance at Atkins and I really hope it will be second time lucky for me.

I did Atkins for the first time at the start of this year, and it was awesome (although I really did struggle with temptation). I lost 7kg and I looked and felt great... just in time to fly away to Europe where I was dreaming of staying thin and eating the Atkins way while backpacking and living out of a tent.

Well, turns out that was just not possible - no spare money, no stove and no fridge and the swiss really make lovely chocolate. So, I fell off the wagon and blew up again like a balloon.

I decided I had to come back to Atkins when I was swimming in Switzerland and realised, to my shock and horror that I was the largest girl in the river! It was a horrible realisation but I had to have it.

Now that I have settled down (I have a kitchen!!!) I am starting again. I dream of hitting the beach next summer looking sexy in a Bikini. I don't have my family for support, but I do have all you fellow Atkins followers

Thank you, this forum is a wonderful idea!

    Re: Kia ora

Welcome Mel, and good luck this time around. I hope you don't have any trouble with temptation this time and if you do a clean induction, it shouldn't be a problem because your cravings should go away after a few days.

It sounds like you've had a lot of fun in your travels. I've traveled abroad alot too but never in a tent! I'm not as tough as you are so I'll stick to the hotels!

    Good luck!
