  • Hi

    I'm starting induction today.

This is Atkins second time around. Last year I lost thirty six pounds in three months. Fell off the wagon after catching a prolonged bout of flu at Christmas!

But lets see what this time brings.Worried it could take longer to lose the weight.

    Will keep you all posted

    Hi, rivermoon

Welcome back to Atkins! Don't worry about whether it takes longer to lose the weight or not - looking upon this WOE (way of eating) as a lifestyle change and not a race is one of the things that has kept me sane this time around. Yeah, that's right... I've had to do this more than once to get it right. The good news is - as long as you commit to this time being the real deal, it will be. I never got to goal and wasn't able to maintain what I did lose on my first attempt. This time, I followed the plan to the letter and have been at goal for just over a year. I'm finding Maintenance even harder than actually losing the weight, so make sure that you learn as much as you can about the plan and the skills you will need to keep the weight off. Finding this board has made a huge difference for me, and will help you too. Make sure to post often - it really does help.

    Good luck!
