  • Hi Every one,

    I am new here. I read couple of posts it is really motivating.

    I am 37 years female, I am 5ft 3 inches height and 157lb on November 24th when I started my diet. today I weigh 155lbs. I am in induction from last monday. I went down to 153 last Saturday. My goal is to go down to 120lbs.

    We had some family get to gather last sunday I could not follow atkin on sunday. I cheated, I eat rice and some sweets. After that I gained 1lb.I re-started again yesterday. I am planning to extend induction for couple of weeks.

    I was in low fat diet two years back went down to 132lb but regained in an year. Very frustrating.

    I used to starve for sugar all the time, I used to eat lot of chocolates and sweets. I stoped from last week. I missed them for couple of days, I had nausea in the beginning Now I am ok

    I walk around 3 miles everyday. I hope I am doing ok on that.

    Wish me good luck this time to reach 120lbs and stay there.

    I used to read the post you guys are very supportive.

    Hello! I am so glad you are here! Those sugar cravings are the worst! I did a lo fat diet back in the day.. sure.. i'd drop weight.. but I'd do it while starving and then.. eating chocolate.. and counting THOSE for the calories for the day. NOT healthy!

      I just turned 40 this year and have really put the weight on. I am 5.3 also and I use to walk at least a mile 5 days a week. It helped me stay toned but I still could not shead the weight. The last time I did atkins I did not do it is as I should and only lost a few pounds. I am ready to start getting serious about it. Take it from me that you really need tio write down what you eat everyday. That is really what helps. Plan your menus and you will see it is nice knwoing what yo will eat each day. Do that with your walking and watch the weight drop off

        Thank you, Atkin really works for me. I started with 157lb on Nov 24th. Today I weigh 150Lbs. I also maintain food log. It is really good to watch the progress.

          Congratulations Varinaj, you've showed staying power, and I notice your goal is to get to your target weight and stay there, a lifetime goal. Makes me think mine should read like that too rather than just getting to 140 pounds.

            hi, i'm new too. you mentioned going on a low fat diet and loosing some weight? i was laughing because i went on a low fat diet and gained weight. lots of it, so i did the diet longer... and gained more. love this atkins eating. great board, huh?
