  • Day 2 of induction

    Hello...
Doing well so far, 16 carbs yesterday, 80oz of water. Tough with the wifey & son having snacks everywhere. Just need to define my area and stock with my goodies. Question if anyone can help me...can i have sugar free jello? I know aspertime can effect everyone different but i'd like to ask the pros what they think?

Also i do some weight training (bench press and curls), i have an ab machine and i'm doing 100 crunches in the morning and trying to repeat at bed time. I have a knee injury so i'm just starting on the tread mill, but only about 15-20 minutes 5 days wk.

Does this sound like a good plan?

Thanks for any help you'll can offer. I love this site!!

It sounds like you're doing great with everything, especially the water and exercise so keep it up!

Yes, you can have sugar-free jello but only 1 or 2 a day because the sweetner in each one counts as 1 carb and you should be getting most of your carbs from salads. But the jello really helped me because I needed that nice, cool texture sometimes. So good luck and don't overdo it!

can you elaborate a lil more. So when you say 1 or 2 a day, are you meaning a box? or a serving? And what counts as a carb, the box or a single serving?

      Thanks

        serving counts as 1g.
Aspartame is kinda tricky in the way some people react to it, so to be safe, a serving is like 1g.

Scott, sounds like you are doing great. Keep it up!

One of the ways I could sort of avoid temptations from my roommate's food supply was to keep a separate cabinet or a separate shelf in the kitchen for my food. Not being able to open the "cookie cabinet" made me almost forget that it was there.

I know exactly what u mean, I have 3 kids so I'm surrounded by goodies. Sometimes I wonder how I do it...but I've done it so I'm pretty proud of myself. I cook them regular meals and then I do mines. I'm at the point were I'm so focused that it doesn't affect me as much thank goodness. But your doing really well when I get a craving I just have an Atkins low carb shake that only has 1 carb. I really like them, it gets me thru. Best of luck to you
