Hello All! Today is day 6 for me... I wish the scale was showing some lower numbers, but I'm hanging in there! I'm definitely not as hungry as when I was eating carbs all day! Wish me luck!

Re: Patience is a virtue they say!
I just finished week one, and where I was hoping for more, (don't we all) I was pretty happy with my numbers. Patience is the only way to win this game. I hear you on the not being hungry. Ketosis is a magical place.

Hi carbqueenie and Luckie,
Cabqueenie, congratulations on day 6, you're doing great!!!! Keep doing everything the way you're suppose to and I promise you will see results.
I totally agree with Luckie, patience is what it takes to win this game along with eating right, drinking lots of water, exercising and not falling off the wagon....and IF one does fall off the wagon, get right back on again. I have struggled GREATLY with patience but I have learned in the past month that as long as I do everything I'm suppose to, I WILL lose the weight. I continue to do everything I'm suppose to do and my weight is going down all the time. This has now shown me that I can be patient and rest assured that I will get to my goal...I can now be relaxed and not feel in a panic that I won't make it.
I was 400 lbs just last year. I started to lose weight mid April of this year (I weighed in April 1/08 and I was 387 lbs) and as of today I am now 262 lbs and clean from the health problems I was hospitalized and bed ridden for only 8 months ago. I was very ill and missed almost 3 months of work because of it.
Be patient and confident that you will lose the weight you want to...just keep at it and do everything you're suppose to.
I tell people losing this weight is not just a physical fight...but also a mental/emotional battle...we battle our emotions and our thoughts every step of the way.
Keep coming to this forum, the people here truly care and are amazing individuals....read as many posts as you can and post as often as you like....we're all in this together!
Luckie, congratulations on your first week with Induction, well done! Keep up the great work!
All the best to the two of you!

Re: Patience is a virtue they say!
That's the truth!! I'm on day 4 of induction and the family isn't making it easy with all the noshing, but i have my pork skins and i know i'll feel better knowing i didn't give in to temptation. My scale is acting screwy, when i read it i've lost about 6lbs, when my wife reads the scale it's more like 10lbs. With me looking over my stomach i think i'm making the needle move
So either way 6-10lbs on day 4 isn't bad at all!!
Keep up the great work, and we can encourage each other! I love this site and the people on it.
I have over a century mark to go for my goal and i figure if i can lose atleast 10% of my goal weight each month i'll be there in no time.
I wish you great health & success !
