  • Hello everyone

Well I am hoping to find support and get questions answered and new ideas from this forum. I am on week 4 now extending the induction period still. However the weight is finally coming off but I am worried since I not hungry and find myself forcing myself to eat and then manage to only eat a bit. I am worried when I do start eating more normally, the weight will come right back. Are there any foods you suggest to get me interested in eating Just not hungry at all. I tried to have a little cheese with salami earlier and managed to have one slice of cheese and 5 salamis. Is that good enough. The Atkins bars and shakes just are too sweet for me to handle I can only manage a bite or two with tons of water.

    Re: Hello everyone

Well for one avoid the Atkins bars and shakes. Just leave them alone. It is common to have a smaller appetite on Atkins, that is the beauty of it. I would try and add some salads in there. I know when you do not have an appetite sometimes salad is the last thing you want to eat. But you NEED your veggies. They are mandatory. Maybe forgo the cheese since that is a limited item and have some sort of legal veggie instead. Go to the recipes forum and get some ideas. There is a wide variety of things to eat, contrary to popular opinion. Your appetite will increase as your body adjusts, and exercise will perk up your appetite as well. Stick with it and you will be fine.

      Thanks for the tip

Thanks for responding!! I have to admit when I read it I thought ugh a salad but I went in and made a Caesar Salad (didnt have any meat to add) but I feel much better now. I was starting to get run down and tired after the last few days of not being able to eat much but I ate the whole salad. About 3 cups. Yum

        Re: Hello everyone

salami on a ceaser is yummy....
just watch the nitrates and mitrites and sodium. Just not good for you, but oh so yummy. Many people on here (and in the DANDR book) says to watch out for the processed meats. I personally love the, and am still losing like mad with them in my diet, but you should keep an eye on them.
"I'm big boned" ...Um, nobody has bones that big....

Buffalo wings, not just for breakfast anymore.

Hey baby, how do you like bald fat guys with no money?

          Salami

Hmm why didn't I think of that? I do watch them.....go right in my belly. I love salami and pepperoni and have always done OK losing with them in my diet too. I just make sure of the carb content since some brands must add sugar or something because their carbs are high.

Nice to meet you by the way.
