  • Whats up!

    Hello!

My name is Ryan, I am 18 years old and a freshman in college at the University of Nebraska. When I was 16 I weighed my highest at 312lbs and decided I needed to change. I decided to count calories, and workout hard and ended up losing 62 lbs and was at 250. For some reason I can't remember I stopped working out and counting calories and slowly got back up to 280. People say I don't look 280 but I sure do feel it. Now I've decided enough is enough and have decided to go on Atkins. I want to have a normal life, meet a girl, and be happy. I have been on Atkins for 6 days now and have lost 8.5 pounds. Things are going good so far and I'm lifting weights and running pretty much every day. I really want to lose around 80 pounds before I go to California in about 6 months. Well just thought I'd stop in and say hi!

          Hey Ryan!
I'm also 18 and a freshman in college. I just started about a week ago, though I've tried this before.

I wish you the best of luck. I know college isn't exactly an atmosphere conducive to weight loss. Just today, one of my guy friends shoved 3 Lindt chocolate balls into my hand. But with determination and willpower, we can do it!

            Re: Whats up!

Thanks for all the comments, I think that since I have some support this time I may be able to do this. I am now one week into it and this is very rare for me since i usually only stick to a diet for 3 to 4 days. Tommorow i will have my official results, and will share them.

Victoria: I know exactly what you mean, all of our dining halls are buffets and there not exactly meant for dieting so I usually dont have many choices, but I make do. Keep in touch with your results, and maybe we can help each other reach our goals.

              Re: Whats up!

Great job man! The funny thing about Atkins is that I eat more than I EVER have in the past, and my calories are about half of what they were. I used to mow down four double cheeseburgers from Mc Donalds for lunch during my sales route every day. THats like two thousand calories. I eat like four meals a day now and get about twenty-two hundred in. The Atkins approach is amazingly filling. I hope that you are still working out because it does wonders. Stay focused and keep up the good work.... oh yeah and welcome to California! Good luck and Merry CHristmas!
