Well here it goes. I'm 5'7 and weigh 250, female,25 yrs. old. I've been on the induction for a week and have lost 10pounds so far. Now to the real story. I have always struggled with my weight. But it wasn't till the last 5 years that I have really went overboard. I lost my father in a car accident and it sent me into a downward spiral of emotional eating. It has taken me till now to realize that I can't live like this and my father wouldn't want me too. The funny thing is, I have tried atkins before and worked. I lost 20lbs. In 2 weeks. This was when I was 19 and everyone was like your crazy for being on that diet. Well guess what I've tried them all over the past few years and guess what they don't work atkins does. It's real lifepractical. I'm hoping to lose a 100lbs by June. I have an important wedding to go too. With people that have judged me and made comments about my weight. People who said I can't believe your husband married you like that, you used to be so skinny. I lost my confidence and self esteem a long time ago I want it back. I want to walk into that wedding and have everyone talking about me. And the thing is they can because I know how they trully are now all of a sudden they will want to talk to me. It's too late, Im2sexy4thisfat.

Re: a long time coming
Welcome!!
Good for you for hopping back on the Atkins wagon! It's worked for you before, so it'll work again, I'm sure.
So sorry to hear of the loss of your father... that must've been very hard. But it's good that you're now ready to take control of your life again.
Soon, you'll have your confidence back again and you'll be feeling very good about yourself; it's just a question of following the plan to the letter, keeping your focus and thinking positive!
Happy losing!Before and after:

Re: a long time coming
You're right about some days being easier than others, but generally speaking, it gets easier as you go along.
As for breakfasts... you can always eat out of the "breakfast mold". I like leftover meat for breakfast sometimes, or half an avocado. Cheese too.
Once you get to OWL depending on the rung, you can make all sorts of interesting muesli type things for breakfast too, using a small amount of oats, chopped nuts, a little chopped fruit etc., mixed with watered down cream (mock milk) and sweetner. Before and after:
