I got asthma about 4 years ago. I have had plenty of antibiotics and since then have been unable to loose weight. I am about 18% overweight, lack energy and have lots of allergies.
I tried Atkins about two/three weeks ago and did not loose more then a kilo. Felt very depressed and stopped. I had a latte and muffin.
As I started researching, I realised my underlying problem may be Candida. I am going to start treating that first. I will follow the advice I came across on this site (Healing naturally by Bee) and the diet prescribed as well as Atkins vita-nutrient (which I have just ordered through Amazon). I think my induction will just be much stricter cutting out cheese, mayo and cream.
I am based in London – so all the food/measurements will take getting used to. I have ordered measuring spoons/cup as well as Stevia (which I learned is illegal in the UK). I am also ordering Coconut oil.
As soon as I get my stuff I am back on my stricter induction. Now until Christmas I will for the most part avoid sugar and carbs - but allow myself the latte a day and maybe a muffin a week. Most of my cravings have decreased anyway.
