New Gal Here- 14 Day Induction Starting 12-16-08
Hello Fellow Low Carbin People!
I'm a newbie to this forum, but not to Atkins.
I joined this forum because of the fact that people here are specifically doing low carb, and I get tired of other forums trying to tell me what's good for me and what isn't.
Finally a place were people understand me!
Several years ago, in 2004, I was given the Atkins book by a friend. I couldn't put the book down and learned, by the way I was eating, that I was a perfect fat making machine.
I started induction, and within 5 months went from 175 down to 140 pounds. My friend and family were shocked!! So was I.
Long story short, I went off to college, didn't deal well with managing my stress, and went back to my old ways of eating bad carbs and a lot of them.
I've been trying different means of losing weight, but not getting the results I did while on Atkins.
I am hoping to make it on Induction for the next 3 months, and then will reassess the situation.

Everyone is so supportive here, I'm sure you will achieve ur goal weight in no time. I just started induction on Dec. 14th, so just a few days before u. Keep in touch with your progress, Im down 6 lbs!
