Hey gang…
This is my 2nd go-round with the Atkins WOL - 1st time with Atkins was back in 2003: at the time I weighed about 195 and over the course of 3-4 months, I ended up losing about 30 lbs. I guess I got a little too comfortable in the Maintenance phase and I soon slipped back into my old habits.
During the last 5 years, I have slowly watched my weight creep back up the scale. On top of everything else, I recently quit smoking (Cold Turkey!) – a pack-a-day habit – and that just sealed my fate – I definitely used food as a substitute for cigarettes...big surprise there, I would use food as a substitute for oxygen if I could.
I’m now about 5 months nicotine-free and I came to the realization that if I can quit smoking (Cold Turkey!) then I can do anything…
Did I mention that I quit smoking Cold Turkey?!?!?
I started induction about a week ago at 197 - I'd like to get down to about 165-170 and take it from there...
So here I am, ready to do this the right way and stick with it...
