Okay so I'm not new, I've been a lurker and have posted a few times...I have not been on atkins in awhile and as a result have gotten up to 242-ish pounds.....my highest previously was 240! I promptly joined LA fitness and I am starting induction tomorrow morning. All of my family thinks its foolish to start a diet on Christmas Eve, but I am determined to change my way of eating! I don't think I will struggle over Christmas Eve and Day because I know that alll those cookies and cakes etc is what put me in this position in the first place! Also I think my uncomfortably tight pants will help keep me away from those carbs!
I am really excited and motivated and I can't wait to start feeling better and lighter!

! I plan on staying on plan at our family's Christmas dinners ~ tonight and tomorrow. To set yourself up for success be prepared. I'm not sure what's on you menu tomorrow, but some great low-carb, induction-friendly snacks are deviled eggs, tuna with mayo, cheese, hard salami (not the best choice, but I eat it in a pinch), green beans with butter, olives, shrimp cocktail (make a low-carb cocktail sauce by mixing Heinz low-carb ketchup with horseradish to taste) otherwise you can dip the shrimp in a mayo/mustard mix.
