  • Hi...

    Hi everyone
Hmm, where do I start? My name is Mel, I am 26, and I am a grad student, currently working on my Master Thesis. I've decided to give Atkins another chance - this is my second time trying. The first time I've lost about 25 pounds in 4 months, I was unhappy, felt it was too slow and I quit! But when I think about it now, I really overate and rarely exercised, so those 25 pounds actually were a blessing at the time
Anyways, I am ready to start again, and I am planning to do so right after Christmas! So, the plan is to start Induction on the 26th, and just take it day by day...
I currently weigh about 190lbs, and my goal is to be 118. (I know it may seem a bit low, but my mother, who is 52, has the same small frame as I do, and weighs around 118 and looks great, so, this is how I set my goal... )
Oh, and I am from Serbia, so please forgive my possible language and/or spelling mistakes
So, this is me... Wish me luck!!!

    Merry Christmas everyone!!!

    F/26 yrs/5ft 7" started 12/26/2008
    mini goal 1: 175
mini goal 2: 158 - this is where my BMI starts being normal

GOAL 1: 145 - this is the weight I will be happy with! Then, I'll take it slowly from there...
GOAL 2: 130ish? I first set my goal at 118, but realized it might be just a bit low...

    Re: Hi...

Merry Christmas Loooney. How do you guys celebrate it in Serbia - any specialty dishes or traditions? 25 pounds were great. Pick up something that weight that much and you'll know what I mean. Anyways see you on the 26th. Join some exercise challenges at the end of the month and you should be set to reach your goal.

      Re: Hi...

Well, there is one traditional Christmas dish - something called Sarma. I looked it up, and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarma_(food) this is it! It's good, but not Atkins friendly if made traditionally! But, I guess it could be customized just a bit

I started today, had breakfast and thinking about lunch right now...
Hope everyone had a great Christmas

Looks good - a kind of cabbage roll perhaps.
