  • Back and bigger than ever

I'm back again. I think the last time I did this seriously was in 2003 when I lost 35 lbs in 6 weeks. I lost my father earlier this month and went home to Wisconsin for a weeks and ate tons of comfort food. Everything was gravy and potatoes. Anyway, I was as big as I ever was before going home, and managed to tack on some more. I started induction 12/19, and to date I have lost 12 lbs. I have a ton of chicken wings and smoked pork. I could eat these foods every day for every meal, so this WOE was made for me. I just got my keto-stix to show a trace of ketones today, but I was losing weight pretty rapidly before. I also was blessed with keto-breath this evening. My goal is to get to 190 and keep it there this time. Good luck all, and Happy Holidays!

Welcome back T.J. ~ I'm sorry for your loss.

It's hard to make wise choices during painful and stressful times in our lives because food can be comforting. You're in a good place now. You recognized what has happened and you are ready to make that change.

Congrats on your 12 pound weightloss...keep it up!

      Hi T.J,

Welcome back, it's great to have you on the forum.

I'm terribly sorry that you lost your father, my condolences to you. Times such as these are difficult emotionally. Congratulations on getting back to eating healthy again, choosing to do so at a difficult time such as this takes a lot of will power and strength.

Come here lots, read as many posts as you can and post as often as you like. I know you will be very successful eating this way. Post and let us know how you're progressing.

      It's great to meet you!
