  • Confessions of a Yo-Yo

Hi, I'm new to the board. Have done low-carb a few times in the past. It really worked for me after my first child who's now 4. I now have an 8-mo-old too and am needing to lose even more. Low-cal has worked for me too, but I like the low-carb early results better.

Question: What do you guys eat for snacks? That's my biggest challenge on low-carb.

    Thanks!

    Kristin

    Re: Confessions of a Yo-Yo

Welcome, Kristin ! Most of us here can relate to being Yo-Yo dieters.

I've been back on plan for about three weeks and most of the time I only eat three meals and rarely have snacks. When I first started back up I would eat more which meant snacks. Here are some of the things I noshed on:

    - Deviled eggs
    - Hard boiled eggs
    - Summer sausage* and sharp cheddar**
    - Veggies (cucumbers, celery, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, etc) dipped in Ranch dressing (some people like Blue Cheese). Try to get a dressing that does not contain sugar.
    - Tuna with mayo (sometimes I'd add cut up celery, pickles, and cheese**)
    - Olives (you can have 15-20 a day)
    - Turkey or ham roll-ups (lunch meat* spread with cream cheese** and a pickle rolled up)

*not the best because it's a processed meat
**make sure to limit chesse to 3-4 ozs per day

Good luck to you! Wishing you great success!

That really is a great list clogger. I had forgotten about the deviled eggs! Good suggestion I'll have to make some.
