    I decided that I would go ahead and post here , although I have already posted in the 2nd time around club....... My name is Miranda and im 24 years old......I have tried atkins many many times....Each time I would do it for a few weeks loose about 15 pounds then by some stupid decision end up eating those 15 pounds back..... This time its different, its day 3 for me and so far, ive had no cravings that i couldnt resist, I honestly havent even wanted junk food.....my only problem, i will admit, is that im way to anxious for it to all come off.... still, im a smart girl..lol... it didnt get there over night, its not gonna come off over night....

    my main reason for trying to eat better and be more healthy is my 4 year old son, who has taken after my eating habits and loves junk food......and video games........ so you put the two together and you've got a problem..... my boyfriend and i have decided to do this together, he was on atkins a few years ago and lost 60 pounds, but gained it back after returning to the old eating styles......This time though, we're gonna stick or at least i am......100 percent.... its good to be back, and ill post more as my progress increases

    Miranda, welcome to ! This is a great place to be!

    That's great that you and your boyfriend are doing this together. It's great to have support. You two should read this. That thread is very helpful. As it points out you should really get a copy of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution 2002. There is a ton of information on this board, but it's invaluable to have the book so you can pick it up and reference it anytime and read/re-read it for motivation.

      thanks for the reply....i do have the book, it was a gift from my mom, who has done atkins for a long time........it is a great resource to have....thanks so much.........
