  • Introduction

    Hi all,

Just joined the boards a couple of days ago. I will be starting Atkins as of tomorrow morning. I have the book (2002 Ed.) and have been reading up on it. I need to lose around 100 pounds and hope to do that by August '09 if possible. I'm from Texas, born and raised, 28, and just found out recently I was hypothyroid and was recommended the Atkins diet. I'll probably have a few questions, especially about items that seem to "stall" weight loss, but I'll read the book completely before asking them. Looking forward to interacting with yall on the boards!

    Hey Shagginabit,
I'm sort of new here too and from Texas as well. Glad you're here! I've been reading the book trying to get started like you have. There are some really good people and advice on this site.

Holidays are not that easy for me food-wise. I'll probably have to start induction again come Monday after New Years.

You hang in there with the 100 lb goal.

              Re: Introduction

well, had to defer my induction until today. I forget that us southerners just *have* to at least eat a few black eyed peas for New Years. Got that torture out of the way, and I'm ready to roll.
