Hi everyone...I'm new of course. I am so desperate to lose this weight. I'm soooo tired of being tired and just being FAT!! LOL. I need as much and encouragement as I can get...this is why I am here. I just checked out the book from the local library to get the do's and don'ts of the program. I've done Atkins before and lost about thirty pounds but I wasn't smart...I just went right back to my old eating habbits.
My biggest weaknesses are the food I work with all day long (cake..ect), and another weakness is fast food. I will postpone paying a bill just to have money to go to Burger King or Little Ceasers! It's very hard for me because I get stressed out at work and I tend to feed that stress with food. Money is also an issue that I stress about. But I'm sure after reading the book and getting a better understanding of this Atkins way of life, I could probably work things out.
I need to lose at least fourty pounds, fourty five would be more ideal. So...wish me luck guys! Thanks for reading!

Hey there ... welcome! Great way to kick off a new year ... getting healthy. Good for you!

We all have food issues. Definitely! But, as you know from previous experience, Atkins works ... as a lifestyle. I'm no poster child ... I've had slips. But I keep getting back on the bandwagon 'cos I just flat-out feel better eating the Atkins way.

Like you, my goal was in the 40-lb. range (47, to be exact) and I'm now 10 lbs. from my goal. If I can do it, anybody can!

So enjoy the journey! Look forward to seeing you around this Board !

Welcome! Ditto to what Norah said!

You're in good company here. It's a great place to come for support and motivation . That's great that you have the book. Initially I checked the book our 4 or 5 times before I ordered it. I'm sooooo glad I have a copy at hand for reference.

You can do this. One meal at a time. One day at a time. Good luck!

hi, welcome & Happy New Year!!! We're all in the same boat here -- we want to loose weight (or maintain for those who have already made their goals). I'll watch for your posts to see how you are doing.
