  • New to Atkins

I'm not sure if I am doing this correctly (posting where I need to). My name is Nicole and I am just starting I will begin my induction on Jan. 1. I am excited and I am happy to have found this web site. Looks very supportive.

    Thanks

    Re: New to Atkins

Hi, Nicole ... yep, you're in the right place!

I applaud you for starting out a new year with a new attitude. My recommendations are: Don't get ahead of yourself ... set mini-goals; keep a food diary (on paper or online; i.e. at FitDay); exercise is key! Check in with the Board often ... it's a wealth of info and support. Drink LOTS of water (there's always a Water Challenge going on; lots of different Challenges, in fact ... makes the process more fun). And ... take it one day at a time !

Thank you for the response. I joined Curves today for exercise I also play Volleyball for 2 hours on Sundays. I have a treadmill that I need to clean the dust off of. Water is always a challenge for me. Can we use Crystal Light it says its sugar free, 0 carbs?

      Thanks

Hi Nicole! Welcome to the site. How is it going with the induction?

It is nice seeing a picture where I actually have a neck!

A Big Welcome to you, Nicole. You came to a great place - starting off right, too. A good way to kick off getting answers to a lot of questions is to read posts labeled "Sticky", especially in the forum for 14 day Induction. Also, be sure to read daily in "DANDR" (Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution). We follow the rules in the 2002 revised edition.

To answer about the crystal light, it can be consumed but within the guidelines of you must limit artificial sweeteners. Count each serving as 1.

Good luck - see ya round the board!

PS - Volleyball is so much fun!

I know how you feel. I am trying to figure out the best way to navigate this website. I just became a member today. I have already read some amazing stories of success here. Stick with the program. I started on Dec. 28 and I have already lost 10 pounds. I have never seen results like that before. I have been eating as much as I want of the recommended foods. This is great!
