  • Aussie Inductee- PCOS/IR and struggling...

    Hi all,

I'm in Sydney, Australia and struggling with Induction over this Festive time....

I am PCOS and Insulin Resistant with a monster sweet tooth which I can ignore until after dinner so have been going for those no-carb sweets with maltilol... You can guess that's why my husband won't come near me at the moment! They bloooooow you awaaaaay!

I'd like to give up ther sweetners but am curious about the differences between Stevia and Splenda as I had thought Stevia the better - I have one in my morning decaff and then don't touch anything until I get the after dinner hankering for low-loule jelly etc.

Peace this New Year to you all!

Hi Singadiva My favorite trainer is from Aussie country (gotta love that Clinton Anderson). I know what you mean about the sweet tooth (I have a batch of mini cheese cake bites in the freezer right now). I wish you the best of luck. Amanda

Hi, singadiva! Some folks find that any kind of artificial sweetener (even Splenda) stalls their weight loss. Stevia, at least, is natural. But it's kind of a "try it and see" thing. The good thing about Atkins is that your sweeth tooth should abate while on Induction ... mine pretty much disappeared after about five days. And I was a sugar junkie, too! Hang in there

        Thanks,

I am struggling with it but I can forgo the sweeties and the low-joule jelly. I just cannot do without the one decaff with Stevia and it's all hard enough with a broken foot too! I'm just starting to walk again so I'm pretty depressed about the slow weightloss....
