    Hi Everyone
I haven't been on here for such a looooong time. I well and truly fell off the wagon and was run over by it a few times!
I promised myself that on 1st Jan 2009 that i would change my life for the best - that and i got some scary blood test results from my doctor a couple of days before christmas. Borderline diabetic and extremely high cholesterol. SO now i am on a mission to get rid of my weight and to start feeling good about myself once again. The first time i started and began to lose weight i felt amazing, but somehow i slowly started to put weight on. I wasn't looking at my portion sizes and i didn't prepare my meals, so i would grab something quick to eat, of course it was something that i shouldn't eat. Anyway enough of the excuses i'm back and here to stay! It's Day 3 for me and so far so good. I am actually quite proud of myself. As new years and christmas just over my cupboards are still full of junk, you know all those yummy things we think that we want, but don't really need. Well i haven't touched one. Don't get me wrong i've been tempted, when i feel tempted i now have a cup of green tea! It works!
Well i can't wait to start chatting with others (I was pretty quiet last time and this time i realise that i really need to meet others so we can help each other on our quests).
    Thanks for listening,
    Cheers,
    aussie_chick

    Welcome.
Lovely to see another person with a kg ticker.
I think staying prepared and on top of things are the ways to succeed. Convenience and Atkins are not always easy to combine.

        Thanks Liv and sallyseachange,
You both have lost an amazing amount of weight. Congrats.

liv- I agree it's great when i see a ticker with kg's on it. I just don't get the whole lb's thing.
sallyseachange- I know that this is the only bandwagon that works...lol

I've realised though that i might have posted to the wrong thread, i think i should have posted to the second time round thread. I'm not sure how to fix it. So i am sorry if i have upset admin....i didn't realise....i was too excited and wanted to let everyone know about starting my life again...i apologise.
        Cheers

No need to apologise Aussie Chick. Plenty of people re-introduce themselves in the Spotlight on coming back to the fold.
You can post in the Second Time Around Club (STAC) too, if you like... or anywhere else for that matter...er, except the Men's Forum!

            Welcome back Aussie Chick!!!!

It's great to have you back on the forum! Stick with eating this way and before you know it I bet your blood work will have improved not to mention you'll see a difference in the way your clothes are fitting.

This is the only way of eating that has worked for me and I feel great!

Looking forward to reading your posts and hearing about how things are progressing for you.

            It's good to meet you!

              Re: sort of a newbie

Hi Aussie chick! Welcome back on the wagon! I have a very similar story. Joined last July but was totally quiet and stopped logging in almost immediately. But I only kept piling on the weight so just before New Years I decided to get back on the diet and join the board again. I posted my thread in the second time around forum but almost did the same thing as you. It no big deal really. In fact the funny thing is that I actually replied to a roll call for the 100+ century forum. I did't realize it was for that forum and also felt embarrassed afterward. But it doesn't matter support is good no matter where you post it. Good luck girl and we are all here to support each other. You can also visit me any time at my journal in the chat journals "My first journal ever" Looking forward to losing it together!
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says...I'll try again tommorrow.
